In March 2014, the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) approved Agricultural Bank of China Limited as a foreign authorized deposit taking institution (ADI) and issued a banking license to the Sydney Branch. The Branch was officially opened in April 2014, consists of 8 departments including Corporate Banking, Trade Finance, Financial Market, Operation (IT), Risk Management, Legal &Compliance, Finance &Accounting, Administration and Internal Audit team. The branch provides a range of banking services including corporate loans, trade financing, financial markets, multi-currency settlement and clearing and capital remittance.
